The jarocho ensemble has developed its musical path through three albums: Retratos xalapeños (2019), Cielo y tierra (2021), and Reminiscencias (2024). In this performance, the trio will play live selections from their latest work, which focuses on contemporary jazz influenced by Latin and flamenco rhythms.
This concert offers a journey through the trio’s most recent phase, marked by ongoing musical exploration and a strong connection to their roots. Paquito Cruz Trío presents a series of original compositions, for example: Terra ignota, Saturno, and Armando’s Blues, where improvisation and musical interaction are central elements. With their latest 2024 album, the trio consolidates a mature and coherent project that reflects both their accumulated experience and their desire to keep opening new sonic paths.
