Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes

Jóvenes compositoras

* Programme subject to change

Five women composers, five works, one powerful vision.

Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes, under the direction of Maestro Luis Manuel Sánchez, will premiere five original works commissioned from composers from Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia. This initiative, driven by Coordinación Nacional de Música y Ópera, invites audiences to discover new female voices reflecting on the concept of “migrations” from unique and profound perspectives, without normative or imposed interpretations.

The project is carried out in collaboration with Festival Internacional Cervantino. Under the premise of “mujeres proponiendo mujeres” (women proposing women), CNMO commissioned pieces from multiple-award-winning female composers from three states: Sinaloa, Veracruz, and Guanajuato, thereby securing a prominent space for the music of Mexican and Latin American women composers in this 2025 edition.

It is a great opportunity to experience contemporary music that celebrates diversity, creativity, and the power of women in composition.
