Trío Guanaxteco
It is a group formed in Guanajuato in 2009 that performs regional sounds from the Sierra Gorda and Huasteca in Guanajuato. Since its inception, it has fought for the recognition of the Huasteca identity in the state, thanks to its contributions, Guanajuato is recognized as part of the Huasteca cultural region of Mexico. In 2012, they received the Honor al Mérito Huasteco medal at the XXIII Annual Encounter of the Huastecas in the city of Amatlán, Veracruz. They have benefited from the Support Program for Municipal and Community Cultures (PACMyC, Programa de Apoyo a las Culturas Municipales y Comunitarias) Project and, through the teaching they provide, they have been promoters of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Huasteca music and the son arribeño from Guanajuato. In addition, they have performed in several international tours in the United States as cultural representatives of their state.
