Nam Jeongho
She was a member of the Cie Jean-Gaudin dance company in France in 1980. She founded the Zoom dance company, after returning to Korea, while holding a position as a teacher in the dance department of the Kyungsung University in Busan, with which se actively pursued her creative endeavors. Nam Jeongho's dance style opened Korean contemporary dance to a new path, for it stood out during the era when most of contemporary dance in Korea was centered on the American style of dance, After establishing the School of Dance at Korea’s National University of the Arts in 1996, she was guest lecturer in the Directing program at the School of Dance and contributed to the training and development of Korean contemporary dance talent until her retirement in 2018.
