Tamborichocos

Tabasco

Los Tamborichocos bring the pulse of Tabasco music to the stage. The tradition of the Tamborileros from Tabasco, whose origins date back to the colonial era and which blends Afro-indigenous influences in the Chontal region, promotes the recognition and appreciation of the musical expressions that form part of the region’s cultural heritage. Their artistic work is distinguished by their respect for traditional performance styles, as well as their commitment to passing this knowledge on to new generations. With the deep echo of the drum and the song of the flute, the group presents a repertoire of classic zapateos that are fundamental to the state’s culture.

The program includes the iconic pieces: Comalcalco, Puerto Ceiba, and Rosita Campeona, works that have shaped the region’s musical history.
