Trío Mujeres Tamaulipecas
Canto a mi Huasteca
Tamaulipas
The live experience of Trío Mujeres Tamaulipecas unfolds as a vibrant journey through the identity of the Huasteca, where mastery meets a renewing feminine energy. The performance is a sonic dialogue in which Eréndira Ramírez’s violin guides the audience through classic huapangos and original compositions.
The ensemble stands out for its interpretive solidity, achieved through the balance among the strings: Aurora Zoey Escamilla’s jarana, Karina Reyes’s quinta huapanguera, and Eréndira Ramírez’s violin. Together, they sustain a rhythm that immediately invites zapateado, but what makes their presentation special is their ability to alternate between the power of their voices and the subtlety of improvised versería, creating moments of great closeness with the audience.
Profiles
“They seek to respect the heritage and thinking of those who defend traditions, while at the same time building their own history within son huasteco.”
