This musical and visual spectacle celebrates the cultural richness of Michoacán and its contribution to Mexican identity. Through a journey told through different musical styles–each inspired by a rich tapestry of traditions and experiences unique to the state–the audience will be transported to the landscapes, flavours and crafts that define Michoacán: its sounds, dances, colours and mysteries.

The production features dances that interact in real time with immersive visuals, fusing Michoacán’s traditions with contemporary choreography and projections onto the costumes to bring stories and memories to life.

Various technological resources contextualise the rituals, cuisine and art forms, reinterpreting them without losing their essence and projecting them into a contemporary aesthetic. Noche michoacana is a sensory celebration, a journey through sound, movement and image that connects the past and the present, inviting the audience to rediscover Michoacán through emotion, its geographical landscapes and collective memory. Morelia will celebrate its 450th anniversary in 2026, and this show celebrates the state’s deep-rooted traditions and contemporary reality, expressed through the artistic use of contemporary technology.
