Ensamble A Tempo
México multimedia
Guanajuato
México multimedia breaks with the traditional concept of the concert and transforms the stage into a meeting place for sound, technology, and imagination. Through recent works created especially for the Ensamble A Tempo, the program paints a portrait of contemporary Mexican music, bringing together voices from different generations and regions of the country.
At the heart of the project is the world premiere of an interdisciplinary work written for the 54th Festival Internacional Cervantino, where the energy of Iván Manzanilla’s solo percussion joins the technological and aesthetic exploration of composer Rodrigo Sigal and multimedia artist Edmar Soria. Together they construct a stage performance in which sound evokes images, movement alters the visuals, and the performance becomes a living matter.
Rodrigo Sigal’s work, closely linked to technological experimentation and electroacoustic language, engages in a dialogue with the multimedia work of Edmar Soria, who develops real-time visuals that react to sound, space, and the performer’s body language. Thus, the piece constructs an immersive space where image, gesture, and resonance share a single pulse.
