Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Silvestre Revueltas y Coro Juvenil del Conservatorio de Música de Celaya
Guanajuato
This programme offers a musical journey ranging from the devotion of the Classical period to the drama of Romanticism. It begins with Mozart’s Regina Coeli in C major, K. 108, a luminous sacred work with a festive character. This is followed by Brahms’ monumental Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77, one of the most demanding and profound works in the repertoire, conceived as a symphonic dialogue of titanic proportions, which on this occasion will be performed by the renowned Mexican violinist Adrián Justus.
The grand finale of the evening belongs to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, a work that revolutionised the history of music. Built around its famous and unmistakable four-note motif, the symphony will take the audience on a journey that moves from the solemn and relentless music of the first movement towards a triumphant climax in the finale.
