Patricio Hidalgo

With 32 years of experience in poetic improvisation, research and composition of traditional sones jarochos. He began in community fandangos and later reached stages in some countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He has been a member of the musical groups Mono Blanco, Chuchumbé and Quemamaya. He is and has been a guest musician for different musical projects in Latin America and Spain. As a composer, he shows a very marked tendency towards the afro line, the main component of the jarocho. With the album Fandango at the Wall in New York, he participated with Arturo O'Farril, the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and the Son Jarocho Conga Patria Collective in the 2023 Grammy Awards where they won the award for Best Latin Jazz Album.
