
Amelia Obregón
Writer and screenwriter of audiovisual projects. Graduated in Communication Sciences from Universidad de Sonora. She works as a journalist in Hermosillo, Sonora, with more than seven years of experience. She currently works for El Imparcial, one of the most important media in the state, where she has produced some audiovisual news content. She has a course in film scriptwriting, endorsed by the film school La Cuarta Pared in México City. She has been a student of writer and screenwriter Carlos Alvahuante for more than two years. With him, she has taken the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Narrative Lab, Short and Feature Film Screenplay, Short Story Workshop and Novel Workshop. She was also part of the Audiovisual Narrative Laboratory Letras Sonoras 2021 coordinated by Sonora filmmaker César Gándara, with Fábrica de Historias. As an actress, she performed in voice dubbing for several projects for Netflix, Disney+ and Nat Geo Kids. She has a diploma in theater acting, commercial voiceover, singing and voice dubbing with the studio and school Servicios de Voz - SDV. In March 2022 she premiered at Cineteca Sonora her short film Lentes rosas, directed and written by her, the project that won the VIII Support Fund for the Production of Sonoran Short Films.
