After releasing her first album and receiving the María Grever scholarship, Marisa came back with her single Darlo todo which became an anthem after the earthquake in 2017. After a few weeks it hit 1,000,000 streams on Spotify and became the most viral song in Mexico after 25 days being number one in Top50 Mexico song list. Her second album Amores is a mix of pop Latin-American folklore, this album was very appreciated among her fans. Her music has been part successful Mexican movies and series such as Cómo cortar a tu patán, A ti te quería encontrar and Madre sólo hay dos. For her third album, Marissa decided to experiment with Caribbean rhythms such as merengue, son, calipso and bachata.
