
Ray Fernández
He was born in Las Villas. He started to liked this kind of music because of his grandfather. He graduated as a chef and worked in the kitchen until he decided to become a singer and so, he went to La Habana to do so. Nowadays he´s a distinguished Cuban troubadour who is admired by many people. He belongs to EGREM-MUSICUBA catalogue as a director of the quartet La Barbarie Semiótica. His works are composed of different genres such as: tonada campesina, punto guajiro, baladas, corridos, polkas, rancheras, milongas, rock, nengón, changüi, regae and blues. Besides love and pain portrayed in his songs, he also sings about daily humor, critics to society and “controversy” in the middle of a series of improvisations. He plays every week at the Piano Bar Diablo Tuntun de la Casa de la música de Miramar. He has five albums under the production of EGREM and LP: Cero tolerancia.
