Triciclo Circus Band
It is an ensemble of nine Mexican musicians formed in 2009 in the streets of the Historic Centre of Mexico City. Their music is influenced by genres and rhythms of the world, like music from Chile and Oaxaca, gypsy, jazz, tarantellas, Balkan music, reggae, ska, rock, among others, sprinkled with a circus touch. They involve clown with their red noses, their down-and-out attire, live reds, whites, blues, blacks, and different characters created by them.
The Triciclo are teachers when interacting with the public. They generate an environment of collective joy from songs with brilliant melodies and resounding chords. But they don’t stop there, as they also take us to the most intimate melancholy, generated by gloomier and grimmer tonalities, or even to the deepest part of being through more romantic textures.
