Miguel Peña y Juan Carlos Allende are two musicians with a remarkable career. In 2003, famous singer Chavela Vargas invited them to tour around Spain. This tour lasted ten years, full of concerts, recordings, documentaries, etc. When Chavela Vargas died in 2012, many artists like Lila Downs, Eugenia León, Tania Libertad, Olivia Gorra, Eva María Santana, Mon Laferte, among others, asked to collaborate with the two musicians. In 2017, Los Macorinos won the Grammy Latino for the Best Latin-American Folklore album: Musas, volúmenes 1 y 2, a project they made along with Natalia Lafourcade. Both guitarists have recorded 17 instrumental music albums.
