Compañía Nacional de Danza

Compañía Nacional de Danza

México

With a trajectory of over half a century, the National Dance Company is positioned as the senior dance company in Mexico. From 1963 until today, it has devoted itself to promote and preserve the repertoire of classical and contemporary dance and, at the same time, to open spaces for interdisciplinary work with artists from Mexico and around the world.

The CND has the privilege of having great principal dancers such as Agustina Galizzi, Ana Elisa Mena, Argenis Montalvo and Erick Rodríguez. Thanks to its passion, discipline and artistic rigor, the Mexican public has been able to approach the world of classical dance recalling ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle and The Nutcracker. The company has also been able to open its dance repertoire with contemporary choreographies that range from the strength of mass movements as in Miliano, to the romanticism where each note emulates the subtlety of a movement as in Violin Concerto.
