Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México
With more than 43 years of activities, it is considered one of the most important ensembles in our country and Latin America. Since its foundation, it has presented more than three thousand concerts and the main concert halls of the country and in forums in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia. Guest conductors and musicians such as Leonard Bernstein, Martha Argerich, Narciso Yepes, Renata Scotto, Plácido Domingo, and Ramón Vargas have performed with the Philharmonic since its inaugural concert in September 1978. Its musical history is also shaped by the accumulation of experiences generated by its conductors: Fernando Lozano (founder), Enrique Bátiz, Luis Herrera de la Fuente, Jorge Mester, Enrique Barrios, José Areán and currently Scott Yoo, who led the capital ensemble to the astonishing professional profile that characterizes it.
