Seun Kuti

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of the Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti. Born in 1983, he was interested in music since he was five years old, and by the age of nine, he was the opening act in his father’s concerts. As a saxophonist and percussionist in training, he joined the legendary band Egypt 80, which he began to lead at 14. After the death of his father in 1997, he has been dedicated to promoting his work, while adding his own rhythm style. This has made him perform in front of enthusiastic audiences in cities like New York, Paris, London, Tokyo, Lagos, and Los Angeles. He has released six singles which were critically acclaimed, such as From Africa with Fury: Rise, which success made him end up in the Billboard charts.
