Salvador Guízar

Through twenty-five years he has carried out an intense work of musical diffusion, performing in the main concert halls, public and educational spaces and festivals of the country, as well as abroad, recording a dozen albums with vice regal repertoire, traditional Mexican and concert music. From 2005 to date, he has been a regular guest conductor in the concert seasons of the INBA Madrigalist Choir, and has collaborated with the Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Mexico City Philharmonic, among others. He is currently director of the Orquesta Típica de la Ciudad de México (Typical Orchestra of Mexico City) and is working on the catalog and digitization of its musical archive as a means for its recovery and artistic practice. In 2020 he was a beneficiary of the System of Support for Cultural Creation and Projects FONCA for the recording of the album Del Corazón del hombre, music by composer Guillermo Álvarez Navarro.
