
Mauricio Jiménez
Studied History, Sociology, Acting and Film, and attended different workshops in Mexico and the INBA Theater Art School. He began his professional career with a monologue based in Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. He has directed many theater plays that have been invited to participate in different national and international events and festivals. Among his most important productions are Lo que cala son los filos, El asesino entre nosotros and Banda de guerra by Luis Ayllón. With the National Theater Company he has directed El día más violento, by Bárbara Colio. He obtained two artistic residencies: to work with the group Le Pluriel from Montreal, Canada and to collaborate with different companies at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in New York. He has also been recognized by the Theater Critics and Chroniclers Union as one the most important directors in Mexico.
