
Pryska Yuritzy Vargas Berdeja
She was born in the State of Guerrero and is currently based in León, Guanajuato, where she has developed professionally in her field and ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. In 2003, she was invited to be part of 360 Danza, directed by Vicente Leyva. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Dance from the Professional School of Dance of Mazatlán. In 2010, with 360 Danza, she earned a grant from the Ibero-American Arts Support Fund IBERESCENA for an artistic residency in Madrid, Spain, with the renowned choreographer Carmen Werner. In 2012, she joined the company El Circo ContemporáNEO under the direction of Mauricio Nava, in the city of Guanajuato. She was a fellow of the 2013 Creators of the Performing Arts program of the National Fund for Culture and Arts FONCA. In 2019, she was a beneficiary of the Production Support Program and Season Más Escena with Genealogía: La Historia de Ana y Abraham (Genealogy: The Story of Anne and Abraham) with The Belga Collective. In 2021, she joined Cultura Sor Juana as co-artistic director and teacher of the CSJ dance company. This year, she began choreographic editing, in collaboration with Ilse Torres, for the still unpublished show Jaque Mate (Check Mate) for the Cultura Sor Juana dance company.
