He is the winner of the audience award and laureate in the 63rd edition of the F. Busoni International Competition in Italy (2021). Vladimir is a Russian-Mexican pianist, who has lived in Mexico since he was three years old, a country he has affectionately called his “Small homeland”, and in which, under the care of his parents and teachers (Valery Piassetsky, Eliso Virsaladze and Grigorii Gruzman), launched what is now a successful piano career. He has had multiple achievements in international competitions such as: first place “Lotar Shevchenko” in Russia; first place “Ciudad de Vigo” in Spain; first place “José Jacinto Cuevas” (Yamaha) in Mexico; first place “NTD piano competition” in New York, United States, and first place in the “Neapolitan Masters Competition” in Italy.

His concert activity includes his performances at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Bolshoi Theater and the Mariinsky Theater in Russia; the Sala Alfred Cortot in Paris; the Romanian Radio Hall in Bucharest; The Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico, the Degollado Theater in Guadalajara. He has given regular recitals in Spain, Germany, France, USA, Malta, Holland, Switzerland, Canada, Belarus, Romania, Chile, Cyprus; especially highlighting his participation with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra under the direction of Valery Gergiev and his concerts with the Venia Chamber Orchestra of Geneva. Vladimir Petrov graduated with honors from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, Russia. He then continued his studies at the F. Liszt High School of Music in Weimar, Germany.
