Miguel Mancillas

Miguel Mancillas began dancing in 1980 in Sonora. His studies include contemporary and classical dance, Mexican folklore and theater. He has received several awards as a choreographer, including the INBA-UAM Award and the SOMEC-VITARS, and is considered one of the ten best dancers of the twentieth century in Mexico.

His choreographies belong to the repertoire of important companies in Mexico and USA. Advisor, curator and jury in national and international events. Since 1999 he has been a member of the National System of Creators. With Antares he creates, promotes and disseminates dance contributing to the formation of emerging artists.

With a constant and uninterrupted work, he is considered among the most important choreographers of his generation.
