He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where he began his musical studies. At the age of 15, with a scholarship, he moved to Vienna to complete his training at the State Conservatory, where he graduated with honors.

He made the first world recordings of Falcón-Sanabria's Concerto for piano and orchestra, Carmelo Bernaola's Nostálgico para piano y orquesta, Ángel Martín Pompey's Concierto para dos pianos y gran orquesta, as well as Emiliana de Zubeldia's Concierto Nº 2 para piano y orquesta. The magazine "Ritmo" awarded his record of piano music by Guridi and Padre Donostia in 1986. He has performed in halls such as the Auditorio Nacional de Música, Festpielhaus in Salzburg, Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Philarmonie in Cologne, Carnegie Hall in New York, Teatro Bellas Artes in Mexico, etc. As a soloist he has collaborated with the main Spanish orchestras, as well as with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish RTV, Hungarian Symphony Chamber Orchestra and Mozart Orchester Vienna, alongside conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Víctor P. Pérez, A. Witt, Odón Alonso, M.H. Silva, A. Leaper, Max Valdés, Jaime Martín, Jose Ramón Encinar and Ros Marbá, among others.

In 2016 he released his second solo CD with works by Spanish composers of the II Republica El piano olvidado which has been enthusiastically received. In 2017 he released his CD Zubeldia: Soles y brumas together with Elena Rivera with songs by E. de Zubeldia. She received the 2020 Medal of Honor from the Emiliana de Zubeldia Foundation in Sonora (Mexico) for her work in disseminating the composer's repertoire.
