What are the dates of the International Cervantino Festival?

The 49th edition of the International Cervantino Festival will take place from October 13 to 31, 2021.

Will the Festival be virtual or face-to-face? The format of this edition will be hybrid: we will have face-to-face activities in the city of Guanajuato and digital, coming from different parts of the world.

What are the venues for this edition? Juárez Theater, Alhóndiga de Granaditas Esplanade, Principal Theater, Plaza San Fernando, Ex Hacienda San Gabriel de Barrera Stairs and Auditorium of the University of Guanajuato. In this edition, our stage is the website where you can see exclusive content from the festival.

 

How will the broadcasts be viewed? Free of charge through Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and the Festival Cervantino website.

Will face-to-face events have a transmission? Not all face-to-face events will have digital, live or delayed transmission. To know if the event of your interest will have a transmission, it is necessary to enter the activity profile, within the website, and in the right column check the transmission dates online.

Will I be able to see an event that I could not see live? Yes. All broadcasts will be rebroadcast. Those that are from digital events will be available for viewing for 48 hours. The broadcasts of the face-to-face events will be valid for six months from the day of the event.

 

What is the price of the tickets? Juárez Theater: Luneta, $ 810; Boxes 1 and 2, $ 595; Box 3, $ 375; Gallery, $ 120 Alhóndiga de Granaditas Esplanade: Individual ticket, $ 105; Opening, $ 220; Closing, $ 220 Main Theater: Luneta, $ 400; Upper floor, # 340 San Gabriel de Barrera: General, $ 290 Late night: General, $ 320 Events for girls and boys: General, $ 80 * Due to the health contingency, the ticket will be with general locations. How do I get my tickets? As of July 21, you will be able to obtain them through the page www.ticketmaster.com.mx/cervantino or at the Juárez Theater box office.

What is the address and opening hours of the ticket office in Guanajuato? The address of the Teatro Juárez box office is Sopeña 10, Centro, Guanajuato, Gto. With hours of operation from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What type of discounts do you handle? We have discounts of 50% on activities that will take place during the FIC from Monday to Friday, and a 30% discount on activities from Friday to Sunday. There are discounts on tickets for seniors with INAPAM credentials, people with disabilities, teachers and students with valid credentials, as well as residents of the city of Guanajuato. Discounts are valid only at the Juárez Theater box office. It will only apply to the purchase of two tickets per person. Valid until October 1, 2021.

Can someone else use my ticket? Although tickets are not personalized, they cannot be transferable under any circumstances.

Can I use a child's ticket to enter a function? No, an adult will not be able to enter the venues presenting a child's ticket.

How many tickets can I buy? Each person can buy a maximum of 8 tickets, both in the Ticketmaster system and at the box office.

Where can I collect my tickets? Tickets purchased through the Ticketmaster system can be collected at the Juárez Theater box office, in the city of Guanajuato, up to two hours before the performance. Can I get tickets on the day of the event? It is possible according to the availability of the event. We recommend anticipating your purchase so that you can secure your place.

How do I get a refund for my tickets? In case of postponement or cancellation of functions, the public will receive the refund of the ticket in the same place where it was purchased. Those bought in Guanajuato will be reimbursed at the Juárez Theater box office; those purchased through Ticketmaster, the process will be through the Ticketmaster Centers or by telephone.

Can I change the ticket of one activity for another? It's not possible. Once the tickets are printed there are no changes or refunds. We invite you to confirm your purchase before making it.

How can I be part of a free face-to-face event? It is necessary that you register at www.festivalcervantino.gob.mx and wait for the confirmation of your access in your email. (DEFINE PROCESS)

What happens if I forget my ticket on the day of the performance? There will be no way to reprint it at the Teatro Juárez box office. It is important that you take it with you, either physically or digitally.

Can I enter with a photograph of my ticket? To be able to enter with the photograph of your ticket, it is important to wait for the rest of the public to access, as well as to present a proof of payment that mentions the date and time where the ticket was purchased. The head of the forum will verify that the ticket corresponds to seats that are not occupied, in this way you will be able to enter. In the event that the photograph corresponds to a ticket of someone who has already entered, access to the venue will not be given.

Will there be digital tickets? Yes. Ticketmaster will have a feature that will allow you to download tickets digitally. You only have to choose it at the time of your purchase through the website.

 

How long are the events? Each event has a specific duration. Check it in the profile of the activity you want to attend.

What is the age limit? Access to the events will not be allowed to people under eight years of age, with the exception of those presentations in the Esplanade of the Alhóndiga de Granaditas and those that are indicated for boys and girls. In no case will people under 3 years be admitted.

Can I take photos or videos at the Festival shows? If you are not a previously accredited media, out of respect for the artists, it is forbidden to take photographs or video at FIC events. If surprised, you will be asked to delete the material and save your electronic device.

 

Can I enter a function after the time indicated on the ticket? We remind you that it is important to show up at the venue 30 minutes before the time marked on your ticket so that you can go through the sanitary filter and take your place in a calm and orderly manner . Once the function has started, access to the room will not be allowed.

How will access be for people in wheelchairs, older adults and pregnant women? They will be the first people to enter. In the case of people in wheelchairs, they will access by the ramp or through the door designated for their entry.

Do the venues have spaces for people in wheelchairs? All the Festival forums have spaces that allow greater visibility of the show, as well as easy evacuation in the event of an incident within the venue.

Can I access with food or drinks? It is strictly forbidden to enter the Festival forums with food or drinks. If you are surprised by our staff, you will be asked to leave the premises.

Can I enter the forums with my pet? For reasons of cleanliness and respect, it will not be possible to access the enclosures with pets.

Can I use my cell phone within the forums? It can be used as long as I have not started the function. Once started, you will be asked to turn off your cell phone or put it in airplane mode out of respect for the artists.
