It is the most important cultural and artistic activity of Mexico and Latin America, which thanks of its consolidation in the international ambit of performing arts such as music, opera, theater, dance, plastic arts, literature, and audiovisual media; it occupies a special place among the four most important festivals of its kind in the world.
When does the International Cervantino Festival takes place?
The 50th edition of the International Cervantino Festival will be held from October 12 until October 30 of 2022.
What will be the format of the 50th edition?
The format of this edition will be blended between on-site activities, as well as with some live and deferred transmissions, so that everyone can enjoy of the Cervantino doesn’t mattering where they are.

What are the opening hours of the ticket offices?
From Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and on Sundays from 10 am till 6 pm.
What kind of discounts are available?
We have 50% discounts on the activities that will take place from Monday to Thursday and 30% discounts on those ones happening from Friday to Sunday.
These discounts apply only for senior citizens with INAPAM IDs, people with disabilities, teachers, and students with valid IDs, as well as for residents of the city of Guanajuato.
Discounts are valid only at ICF ticket offices. Only applies in the purchase of two tickets per person. Valid until September 30, 2022.
Discounts doesn’t apply on the following venues: Explanada de la Alhóndiga de Granaditas, Catacumbas Mesón de San Antonio, Mina El Nopal, and those ones marked for children and family.
In addition, there will be discounts at Ticketmaster. We recommend staying tuned to the festival’s social media to know in which activities the discounts will be valid.
Can I select my seats at the moment of my purchase?
This will be possible in those events where seating is numbered, such as Teatro Juárez, Teatro Principal, Auditorio del Estado and Teatro Cervantes. All other venues will have general admissions, we recommend that you arrive to the venue in advance to ensure a good seat.
If I cannot attend, can someone else use my ticket?
Although tickets are not personalized, they are not transferable under any circumstances.
In which events applies the cost of the ticket for children?
In those events marked for children.
How many tickets I can buy?
For events such as Inauguration, Closing, Café Tacvba, Joan Manuel Serrat and Lila Dows, each person can get a maximum of two tickets. For all other events and activities, each person can get eight tickets at maximum.
Where can I pick up my tickets?
All tickets purchased through the Ticketmaster system can be picked up at the ICF box offices up to two hours before the event, as well as in any of Ticketmaster Centers up to 48 hours before the event. Can I get tickets on the day of the event?
Yes, it is possible according to the availability of the event you want to attend. For that, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to ensure your attendance.
How can I get a refund for my tickets?
In case of postponement or cancellation of any event or activity, the public will receive a refund of the ticket at the same place where it was purchased. Those tickets purchased in Guanajuato will be refunded at the Conde Rul box office; those purchased through Ticketmaster will be refunded through Ticketmaster Centers or by phone.
Can I exchange the ticket of one activity or event for another?
No, it is not possible. Once the tickets have been printed, there are no exchanges or refunds. We invite you to verify your purchase is correct before making it.
How can I sign up to get a pass for the grandstand section of the events at Explanada de la Alhóndiga de Granaditas?
Registration is not yet available. When it is available, you must register at www.festivalcervantino.gob.mx, select the activity you want to attend, then enter to the registration section and fill out the form, after that, you will receive confirmation of your access in your email, which you must verify in the link that arrives to your email. The day of the event, you will need carry your QR because this is your digital ticket. The codes are personalized, so you will not be able to share them with anyone else.
What happens if I forget my ticket on the day of the event?
In this case, there will be any other way to reprint it at the Teatro Juárez box office. It is very important that you bring it with you, either physically or digitally.
Can I enter to the venue with a photograph of my ticket?
To enter with a photograph of your ticket, it is important to wait for the rest of the audience to enter, as well as to present proof of payment mentioning the date and time of the purchase of your ticket. With this, the forum manager will verify that the ticket corresponds to the seats that are not occupied, this way you will be able to enter. In case the photograph corresponds to a ticket of someone who has already entered the access to the venue will not be granted.
Will there be digital tickets?
Yes, Ticketmaster will have an option that will allow you to download your tickets digitally. For this, you will have to choose it at the time of your purchase through the website.
