In Oaxaca, in the southwest of Mexico, a cumbia group was born thirteen years ago, seasoned and spiced like the unique food of the region. It is a proposal that mixes Colombian cumbia, vallenato, hip hop, rock ranchero and coastal funk.

La China Sonidera is a reflection of an eclectic and multicultural society such as the one that exists in the city of Oaxaca. It is more than a musical show, it is a declaration of unity that resonates in every note.

Through a journey through their discography, the Oaxacan band addresses pressing social issues, from the normalization of violence to the struggle for inclusion. Their tool for healing is burn your dancing shoes (raspar la chancla) to the rhythm of the güiro and the conga.

Reporte Índigo.

"Their music reflects the cultural present of their place of origin, where people from different parts of the world have settled and along with the Oaxacans, they have created new artistic expressions. The group has taken that influence and incorporated diverse textures to their sound, from funk, rap, rock, tarantella and muffin, to mix them with sounds with a taste of sea and party..."
