Coro del Teatro del Bicentenario
The Choir, led by Jaime Castro Pineda and with Judith Campos Galeana as pianist and assistant director, was founded in 2013 with the aim of becoming a community choir of high artistic calibre. It has built a strong trajectory in both operatic and symphonic settings, taking part in major productions such as La traviata, Don Giovanni, Aida, Parsifal and Carmen, among many others.
Its commitment and dedication have led it to share the stage with leading national and international opera figures, including Ramón Vargas, George Petean, Arturo Chacón-Cruz, María Katzarava, Violeta Dávalos and Sophie Gordeladze, to name just a few. It has collaborated with conductors such as Marzio Conti, Sébastien Rouland, Arthur Fagen, José Areán, Gabriel Garrido, Roberto Beltrán-Zavala, Rodrigo Macías, Enrique Patrón de Rueda and Guido Maria Guida. The ensemble has also worked under the stage direction of Enrique Singer, Sergio Vela, Luis Martín Solís, Marco Antonio Silva, Juliana Faesler, Mauricio García Lozano, Paco Azorín and Luis Miguel Lombana.
