Rodrigo Sigal

He is a Professor at ENES Morelia (UNAM), where he co-founded the Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Artistic Technology. His work focuses on electroacoustic music and new technologies. Since 2006, he has directed Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS), promoting projects in creation, research, and education. He holds a doctorate from City University London and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UNAM. He has been a grantee of the Fulbright Programme, FONCA, and UNAM’s PRIDE programme. In 2024, he received the Bellas Artes Medal and is a member of Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. He directs Festival Visiones Sonoras, the Lumínico project, and the journal Ideas Sónicas.
