
José Daniel Salceda Velasco
Winner of the 2016 Premio Nacional de la Juventud in the category of Artistic Expressions and Popular Arts. He was a scholarship recipient of the Fundació Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona, where he completed a master’s degree in classical and contemporary music performance under the guidance of Guillem Pérez-Quer. He also graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alicante and received Honours in his bachelor’s degree in music from the Conservatorio de las Rosas, Morelia.
His career includes performances on stages in Mexico, the Americas, and Europe, including MUNAL, Palacio Nacional, and FIC (2017, 2018, and 2021). He has won over 40 awards in national and international competitions, among them the Certamen Emili Pujol (2023), Festival José Tomás (2022), and the Guitar Foundation of America (2015). His work balances tradition with a contemporary vision of musical performance.
