American jazz and fusion musician. Son of bassist Jimmy Garrison (member of the John Coltrane Quartet), he has collaborated with Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Joni Mitchell, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, John McLaughlin, the Saturday Night Live band, among many others. He is co-founder of ShapeShifter Lab, an arts space in Brooklyn.
