Recipient of the 2025 Pulitzer Prize in Music. Susie Ibarra is a Filipino-American percussionist whose interdisciplinary practice encompasses composition, performance, sound mapping, mobile apps, multichannel audio installations, recordings, and documentary. She supports Indigenous and traditional music cultures such as the musika katutubong of the Philippines. Her work also advocates for glacier and freshwater conservation, desert climate and water initiatives, and the education of women and girls, in collaboration with Joudour Sahara in Morocco. She is an official artist with Yamaha, Zildjian, and Vic Firth.
