Mexican musician with a degree in jazz from Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico and a master’s in jazz composition and arranging from William Paterson University.

Professor at Centro de Estudios de Jazz of Universidad Veracruzana, he has released three albums and two books. Throughout his career, he has received national and international grants and awards, presenting his work at universities, festivals, and at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York. He has led his big band, Tonatiuh Vázquez Jazz Orchestra, since 2015.
