Argentine stage director who began his career as a baritone, performing in theatres across the Americas and Europe. In 2005, he assumed the artistic direction of Teatro Colón, where he founded and directed Ópera de Cámara. From 2008 to 2013, he served as Artistic Director of Teatro Argentino de La Plata. He has directed in South America, Europe and North America. In 2007, he was named an Illustrious Citizen of his hometown, Paraná, and is a founding member and first Vice President of Directorio de la Ópera Latinoamericana In 2013, he founded the company Teatro Musical Contemporáneo and directed Bromas y Lamentos, based on works by Monteverdi and Cavalli.

He has received numerous awards as a stage director, as well as for his work as a cultural manager and promoter of the arts. In 2019, he directed Ronald Harwood’s Collaboration and Taking Sides for Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires. In 2023, he premiered La desobediencia de Marte by Juan Villoro at Teatro Nacional Cervantes. He is currently the Artistic Director of Compañía Nacional de Ópera de México.
