He studied music at Escuela Nacional de Música of UNAM. He has served as an instructor in projects organised by Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes aimed at training choral conductors throughout Mexico. He has taken part in gatherings and festivals across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. A member of the international choral organisation INTERKULTUR, he has served as a jury member in international choral competitions held in Poland, Ukraine, Croatia and South Africa. With the Coro Staccato, he has undertaken several tours and received various awards in international competitions.
