Originally from Guanajuato, he studied at Universidad de Guanajuato and in the composition workshop of Instituto Estatal de Cultura, as well as at Stanford’s CCRMA. His work spans acoustic, electroacoustic, and mixed music, as well as compositions for theatre and dance. His music has been performed in the Americas, Europe, and Asia by ensembles such as Cuarteto Arditti, CEPROMUSIC, and Orquesta de la Universidad de Guanajuato. He is the founder of Ensamble Rorschach_3.0 and the Ex Nihilo festival. He joined Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte (SNCA) in 2015.
