With fifteen years of trajectory, Sonido Gallo Negro has established itself as one of the most important names in tropical psychedelia in Mexico. Their sonic approach blends electric guitars, vintage organs, and analogue synthesisers to create a sound that pays homage to the roots of tropical music while embracing a contemporary and experimental aesthetic.

The band is known for its distinctive style, filled with esoteric atmospheres, hypnotic rhythms, and an energy that invites both collective trance and relentless dancing. Their live performances are complemented by the visuals of artist Dr. Alderete, who creates real-time imagery that transforms each concert into a full sensory experience.

Over the course of their career, they have toured more than twenty countries and fifty cities across Europe and the Americas. They have released five studio albums, a live album, and collaborated with a range of artists.
