She began her musical career at age thirteen as part of the duo Sombra y Luz, a group that won first place at Festival Mono Núñez, one of the most important events in Colombian folklore. She was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2021 for her album Nanas Consentidoras and has seven recordings, including Los Viajes del Corazón. Her music blends Latin American folk roots with contemporary sounds. She has collaborated with artists such as Susana Baca and shared the stage with Totó la Momposina and Omara Portuondo. Her career includes tours across the Americas, Europe, and the United States, and her work is part of the renowned Putumayo World Music label.
