Artistic company founded in 2004 under the auspices of the Instituto Educacional de la Danza Nandehui A.C. It was created to provide a space for young dancers and creators to explore and experiment, fostering new approaches to the dissemination of the performing arts and Mexican folkloric stage dance. The company currently has thirteen productions in its repertoire. It has received important awards and grants, including Estímulo a la Producción Artística EPRODANZA, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, Circuito Nacional de Artes en Espacios Independientes Chapultepec, and México en Escena from Programa de Apoyo a Grupos Artísticos Profesionales de Artes Escénicas. Jóvenes Zapateadores has represented Mexico and Veracruz on numerous prominent stages and festivals.
