Originally from Denmark, she was the artistic director of Hotel Pro Forma from its founding in 1985 until her recent passing in 2024. She produced more than sixty works that were presented in around thirty countries, gaining both national and international recognition. Her work spanned a range of disciplines, including visual art, performance, opera, theatre and exhibitions. Dehlholm explored the perception of space, form and phenomena. She created exhibitions and performances that merged art, science and technology. In addition, she worked as a director and set designer in opera houses and theatres around the world.
