He was born in León, Guanajuato. He holds a degree in music with a specialisation in composition from Universidad de Guanajuato and a law degree from Universidad La Salle. His training includes workshops and courses with renowned musicians such as Juan Trigos, Mario Lavista, Ana Lara, Rodrigo Sigal, Alejandro Viñao, and Héctor Quintana.
His work has been presented on the stages of FIC, Festival de Octubre in Baja California, and Festival de Jazz de Aguascalientes, performed by soloists and ensembles such as Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato. He has been a grant recipient of both Instituto Estatal de la Cultura and FONCA.
He founded Cuarteto Solar, a group dedicated to jazz and free improvisation, with four recorded albums. In 2020, he was awarded the Isaías Barrón Composition Prize for Traditional Wind Band. Since 2021, he has been part of Banda de Música del Estado de Guanajuato as its director, promoting its presence throughout the country.
