Elsa y Elmar
A musical project by Elsa Carvajal, a singer-songwriter and producer born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. She began her artistic journey by creating personalized versions of Shakira’s songs, but after facing the demands of the pop industry at a young age, she chose to pursue formal training and graduated in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music in 2015.
During her time at Berklee, she released the EP Sentirnos Bien and won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest with Me Viene Bien. Her debut album, Rey (2015), defined her electro-pop style. In 2019, with Eres Diamante, she received her first Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Since then, she has earned six additional nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Engineered Album for ya no somos los mismos (2022). Her latest album, PALACIO, produced alongside Julián Bernal, reflects an artistic and personal rebirth, exploring themes of desire, pain, and transformation. The single entre las piernas marks a powerful comeback with a sharper feminist vision and a bolder sonic identity than ever before.
