Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa

Founded in 1929, it stands out as a vehicle for the cultural commitment of the Universidad Veracruzana. With ninety-six years of artistic trajectory, it is the oldest active orchestra in Mexico and a stronghold of symphonic music on a global level.

It has performed in some of the most renowned concert halls, such as the Royal Concertgebouw and De Doelen Hall in the Netherlands; Sala Nezahualcóyotl and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City; the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil; and the Konzerthaus in Wuppertal, Germany, among others. Since 2014, its home has been Tlaqná Cultural Center in Xalapa, one of the best venues in Latin America.
