He was the first Trombone graduate to earn his degree with honours from Facultad de Música at the Universidad Veracruzana. His professional training has allowed him to work as a musician, producer, arranger, composer, and cultural manager.

He received a grant from what was then the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CNCA), where he completed diploma programmes in Orchestral Conducting (2003) under the guidance of César Amora and Arturo Quesadas. He was also awarded the Karrvaz–UNESCO scholarship in Spain. Since 1992, he has participated in national and international festivals, concerts, and events, both as a member and director of various chamber ensembles, including Cuarteto de Trombones de la Universidad Veracruzana.

From 2003 to 2012, he served as director and producer of Cuatro Elementos, an interdisciplinary project combining music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. With this work, he received a UNESCO grant to develop a performance inspired by Mexican death traditions, presented in Spain and Mexico, and later in Costa Rica (2009 and 2011).

He has created arrangements, adaptations, and musical direction in collaboration with artists such as Tania Libertad, Carlos Cuevas, Ricardo Caballero, Ana Cirré, Waldo Mendoza, Coque Muñiz, and Persi Vignola, among others. In 2016, he was responsible for the musical arrangements for the Agustín Lara Medal ceremony in Tlacotalpan, Veracruz, accompanying Juan Gabriel with Banda Sinfónica del Estado de Veracruz.

He contributed to the development of Afrocorazón, a project dedicated to recovering the Afro-descendant carnivals of the Barlovento region of Veracruz. The initiative was carried out in several communities, notably Alto Tío Diego, Almolonga, Blanca Espuma, Chicuasen, and Tepetlán, during 2017 and 2018.

He currently serves as Director and Arranger of Orquesta Municipal de Xalapa (2022), Ensamble de Cámara de la OMX and Orquesta Juvenil de Misantla (2018). Since 2019, he has also been a musician and Principal Conductor of Banda Sinfónica del Estado de Veracruz.
