Sama’ Abdulhadi
Born in Jordan and raised in Ramallah, Palestine, she discovered her passion for music at an early age, initially drawn to hip-hop and the urban culture of the Middle East. She later moved to Beirut, Lebanon, where she found a new form of expression in electronic music. There, she forged her sonic identity: an intense, emotional techno deeply influenced by her Arab heritage.
Trained in sound engineering at SAE Institute in London, Abdulhadi also worked in Cairo, Egypt, in the film industry, and collaborated with Oscar-winning French composer Nicolas Becker. Her 2018 Boiler Room Palestine set —viewed by millions— catapulted her to global recognition. Since then, she has performed at festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, and Circoloco.
Beyond her music, Abdulhadi is a cultural activist. She founded the Union collective in Ramallah, launched the Resilience platform, and leads the “Bring Back Beirut” initiative to support Lebanon. Her goal has always been to put Palestine on the musical map, and in doing so, she continues to generate international solidarity and a new level of understanding of the Middle East as a whole.
