Tipo de artista: Conductor
Born in Lithuania, Vaiva is a prominent figure in the literary world, known for her text-based practice that spans various genres, interdisciplinary works, and publications. As a writer, playwright, and poet, she is recognized for her distinctive approach, similar to that of an observant anthropologist, transforming everyday social issues into paradoxical and unfamiliar subjects. Among her most acclaimed works are the essay collection Beijing Diaries and the poetry book Gorilla’s Archives, both nominated for Book of the Year and listed among the twelve most creative books in Lithuania. Her writing has been translated into more than ten languages. In 2022, she published Roses and Potatoes, a bilingual Lithuanian English novel that challenges the boundaries of literary genres.
