Originally from Guanajuato, Rosa Elena is a graduate of Centro de Estudios Filosóficos Tomás de Aquino and of Diplomatura Binacional en Teatro para Niñez y Adolescencia (INBAL–IUPA, Mexico–Argentina, 2022). She is the founder of Teatro Andante and the community collective Soy del Puño. Winner of the Certamen Nacional de Ensayística Literaria sobre el Teatro en Guanajuato, she also represented the state at the 6th Congreso Nacional de Teatro. She has written and directed plays such as Aleteo, Axolotl: gran monstruo del agua, Gigantes, and Annie: sobre ruedas y otros sueños, presented in municipal, state, national, and international programmes and festivals. She promotes art as a tool for social transformation and defends the rights of children and adolescents through theatre.
