A distinguished Mexican costume designer, she was awarded the Gold Medal and the Excellence in Performance Design prize at the Prague Quadrennial (2007 and 2019). She won the Premio Metro for Best Costume Design (2019) and was selected for World Stage Design in Taiwan (2017). She was a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores (2014–2017). Her notable works include Cabaret and Mateo Ricci. With the Compañía Nacional de Ópera she has collaborated on productions such as Don Giovanni, and with the Compañía Nacional de Teatro on La Celestina, among others.

She has also worked with the Organización Teatral de la Universidad Veracruzana (Trotsky, el hombre en la encrucijada) and with the Compañía Nacional de Danza on productions such as Rey y Rey, La consagración de la primavera, Cri-Cri, and Papeles de guerra.

Abroad, she designed La vida es sueño in Colombia (dir. Pedro Salazar) and Fibonacci, in collaboration with Mexican, Canadian, and Inuit artists, presented at La TOHU (Montreal) and on tour in the Canadian Arctic.

In film, she designed costumes for De día o de noche and Tercera llamada, for which she was nominated for an Ariel Award (2014).
