Maricela Estrada

Makeup, characterisation, and hair designer with eighteen years of experience. Her theatre work includes more than eighty productions, both national and international, spanning dance, opera, musicals, and advertising campaigns.

She has collaborated with the Compañía Nacional de Teatro on productions such as Zoot Suit, dir. Luis Valdez; Los grandes muertos, dir. José Caballero; El jardín de los cerezos, dir. Luis de Tavira; El diccionario, dir. Enrique Singer; and La Celestina, dir. Ruby Tagle, among many others.

She has also designed for independent companies and diverse productions, including 3 días de mayo, dir. Lorena Maza; La ceguera no es un trampolín, dir. David Gaitán; and Algodón de azúcar, by Gabriela Ochoa, among others.

Her designs for the Compañía Nacional de Ópera include Atzimba, Le voyage à Reims, Carmen, La bohème, Turandot, Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Otello, Tosca, Die Fledermaus, L’amour de loin, and others.
