She studied voice with Mady Mesplé, Margaret Price, and Christa Ludwig. She made her debut as Isolde in Prague, distinguishing herself in roles from the German repertoire (Brünnhilde in Die Walküre by Wagner, Senta in Der fliegende Holländer, and Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss) and the Italian repertoire (Leonora in La forza del destino by Giuseppe Verdi, Turandot in the eponymous opera by Puccini, and Abigaille in Nabucco), as well as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth by Shakespeare.

She also performs French repertoire, from Romantic to contemporary works, including Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc, Ariane et Barbe-Bleue by Dukas, Pénélope by Fauré, and Sigurd by Reyer. In concert, she has performed works by Strauss, Wagner, Schumann, Mahler, Verdi, Beethoven, Bernstein, Chausson, Messiaen, Massenet, and Ravel.
